They ran out of them right before I was going to get mine, but the main guy Bill Taft pulled out a little notepad and started writing down addresses to mail out more cds to all the other people who wanted them. I could see how it would be difficult to capture the energy of this band on an album, but this is a decent homemade try. Let me just say, though, that the set-up live was one guy in a creepy old man mask and awkwardbig thrift store suit on guitar and a bearded young guy with a giant drum in front of him on the floor and a jangle-y tangle of metal around his right foot to gain additional percussive-kick. I just looked up and saw that they have a pretty up-to-date myspace page and still play shows... Go out and see them cause I know i'm going to try to! The two tracks played simultaneously coming out of the Eagle-Sweatpants Monster's arms. They never had to sync-up at the same place, and because the two tracks are varying lengths they would shift a little at a time each day. The music was made using a Doepher synth-box and an Ensoniq EPS looping keyboard. I've posted the pieces separately here, and I think they work on their own and maintain the feel that they had together. Enjoy.

http://www.mediafire.com/?dxhwfxjmmyn

Fullmoon Midday

This album was really the first thing I ever recorded by myself, so I thought it would be a fitting (re)beginning to all this. It was recorded in 2003 at some point, though I don't remember the date. Actually its possible that it was in 2004. Anyway, it was recorded at Ben's house while I was house-sitting, I believe, and I used all of the equipment available there: Mike Fleming's digital 8-track, Ben's drums, Josh's synths, my bass, my 3-string acoustic guitar and even an old cell phone with ringtones that I made. I played, recorded and produced everything on the album. All of these are experiments that seemed to come out vastly different, but I think it works as a cohesive piece. Looking back on it there are obvious musical themes that were just beginning to be worked out back then; though this album is more obviously "musical" than the pieces I work on now there are still subtle hints in this of noise and drone that I was completely unaware of at the time. Hope you enjoy.

Fullmoon Midday

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2mnfnxlz92a#

1...2...

hello from the Beginning
